How To Join Our Association

As a research group with a tight focus on a specific bloodline, we have certain standards that we try to follow in order to insure the integerity of the results of our research. We try not to allow inaccurate information to be added to our research databases. These databases are the foundation of our research, and must be kept as accurate as possible.

As a result of this data protection policy, we also only allow registered members to access and/or edit our databases using our database software. All registered members can access the databases and view information. Validated members who are descendants of our bloodlines can add or edit data, which is then appraised and approved by an administrator before being permanantly added . This is done to help insure data integrity and veracity. We do not allow unsourced materials to be added to our databases except in specific instances where the data is necessary as determined by a site administrator.

Becoming a member is quick and painless. While we do not generally accept membership applications from members not associated with these bloodlines, there are exceptions to the rule. Persons not of the bloodline(s) can request membership, however, there is no set policy at this time concerning whether they will be accepted as members. Applying for membership is free.

Following are the steps you must take in order to join our association.

First, you must read and agree to follow as closely as possible, all of the the research standards listed below as recommended by the the National Genealogical Society. Being realists, we understand and accept the fact that it is not always possible to completely follow any set of guidelines or principles. We do however, try as much as possible to follow these guidelines. Please read all five sets of standards below before proceeding to step 2.

If you feel that you cannot follow these guidelines, then please do not join our Association!

Please take the time to follow each link and read these recommended standards. Each link will open a separate window.

Standards for Sound Genealogical Research

Guidelines for Using Records Repositories and Libraries

Standards for Use of Technology in Genealogical Research

Standards for Sharing Information With Others

Guidelines for Publishing Web Pages on the Internet

If you have read all of the above recommended reading, and are ready to join our assoication, then you are ready to proceed to step two. If you are a descendant of one of the bloodlines being researched at this site, then you will need to prepare a pedigree report (or a descendancy report) which you will need in step three. If you are not a member of these bloodlines, then proceed to step three.

Step three: before you click on the following link, be sure to have handy:

Your descendancy or pedigree report. (Preferably you will have it open on your computer so that you can copy and paste.) After clicking the link and starting your registration, copy and paste your descendancy report into the 'comments' section of the registration form. (Without this information, you will not become a full member!) If you are not a member of these bloodlines, you will need to explain in the comments section of the registration your reason for desiring membership. General requests of just wanting to browse the site will not be granted.

Now, whenever you are ready to proceed, CLICK THE LINK!
